The Gibson County Pioneers basketball team (Dyer, TN), was overwhelmed 72-43 in Friday's league battle with the host Ripley Tigers (Ripley, TN)
The Tigers now possess a 15-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Haywood for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 27. Ripley will confront a Tomcats team coming off a 57-53 league loss to Bolivar Central (Bolivar, TN). The Tomcats record now stands at 13-6.
The Pioneers (6-9) will now prepare for their battle against Westview (Martin, TN). The Chargers come into the 2A District 14 battle with a 9-7 record. In their last battle, Westview trounced Milan (Milan, TN), 43-31, in a league contest.
