Giddings Buffaloes (Giddings, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Smithville Tigers (Smithville, TX), 72-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Giddings upgrades its record to 8-17 on the season. The Buffaloes travel to Taylor (Taylor, TX) to play the Ducks in a 4A Region III District 22 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Ducks go into the bout with a record of 9-16. Taylor lost 64-46 in their recent league bout against La Grange (La Grange, TX)

Next up, the Tigers play the Austin Achieve Polar Bears (Austin, TX) in a 4A Region III District 22 bout, on Friday, February 2. Smithville will attempt to upgrade on its 3-16 season record.
