The Gilbert Indians basketball team (Gilbert, SC), was overwhelmed 66-35 in Friday's league battle with the host Orangeburg-Wilkinson Bruins (Orangeburg, SC)
The Bruins now possess a 17-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Swansea for a AAA Region 5 battle on Tuesday, January 30. Orangeburg-Wilkinson will confront a Tigers team coming off a 86-29 league loss to Dreher (Columbia, SC). The Tigers record now stands at 0-19.
The Indians (6-14) will now prepare for their battle against Lower Richland (Hopkins, SC). The Diamond Hornets come into the AAA Region 5 battle with a 13-6 record. In their last battle, Lower Richland trounced Brookland-Cayce (Cayce, SC), 50-32, in a league battle.
