Gillett Tigers (Gillett, WI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Oneida Nation Thunderhawks (Oneida, WI), 68-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Gillett upgrades its record to 11-5 on the season. The Tigers host Wabeno/Laona (Wabeno, WI) to play the Rebels in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Rebels go into the bout with a record of 9-7.

Next up, the Thunderhawks play the Saint Thomas Aquinas Cavaliers (Marinette, WI) in a Marinette & Oconto bout, on Monday, January 29. Oneida Nation will attempt to upgrade on its 10-6 season record. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a 5-8 record after their 57-31 league loss to Coleman (Coleman, WI).
