The Heppner Mustangs (Heppner, OR) basketball nipped the host Grant Union Prospectors (John Day, OR), 71-70 in Friday's league test.
The Mustangs (12-9) will now prepare for their test against Weston-McEwen (Athena, OR). The TigerScots go into the 2A Blue Mountain test with a 8-13 record. In their last test, Weston-McEwen was tipped by Stanfield (Stanfield, OR), 71-53, in a league test.
