Nashwauk-Keewatin Spartans (Nashwauk, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Greenway Raiders (Coleraine, MN), 58-54 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Nashwauk-Keewatin upgrades its record to 2-13 on the season. The Spartans host Hill City (Hill City, MN) to play the Hornets in a A Section 7 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 7-8. Hill City lost 94-49 in their recent league bout against Carlton/Wrenshall (Carlton, MN)

Next up, the Raiders play the Ely Timberwolves (Ely, MN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Greenway will attempt to upgrade on its 12-9 season record. The Timberwolves go into the bout with a 8-7 record after their 69-60 non-league win over Littlefork-Big Falls (Littlefork, MN).
