The Nixyaawii Community Eagles (Pendleton, OR) basketball crushed the visiting Griswold Grizzlies (Helix, OR), 97-27 in Friday's league test.

The Eagles (12-3) will now prepare for their test against Echo (Echo, OR). The Cougars go into the 1A Old Oregon test with a 10-7 record. In their last test, Echo walloped Pilot Rock (Pilot Rock, OR), 76-71, in a league test.

The Grizzlies now own a 0-10 record. They play next when they travel to Elgin for a 1A Old Oregon test on Saturday, January 27. Griswold will encounter a Huskies squad coming off a 84-25 league loss to Union (Union, OR). The Huskies record now stands at 3-12.
