Tahlequah Tigers (Tahlequah, OK) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Grove Ridgerunners (Grove, OK), 60-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Tahlequah upgrades its record to 11-7 on the season. The Tigers host Pryor (Pryor, OK) to play the Tigers in a 5A District 3 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 3-12. Pryor lost 66-30 in their recent league bout against Bishop Kelley (Tulsa, OK)

Next up, the Ridgerunners play the Booker T. Washington Hornets (Tulsa, OK) in a 5A District 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Grove will attempt to upgrade on its 3-11 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 13-1 record after their 78-43 league win over East Central (Tulsa, OK).
