Gunter Tigers (Gunter, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Leonard Tigers (Leonard, TX), 45-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Gunter upgrades its record to 19-9 on the season. The Tigers host Howe (Howe, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 3A Region II District 11 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 18-7. Howe lost 53-48 in their recent league bout against Bells (Bells, TX)

Next up, the Tigers play the Blue Ridge Tigers (Blue Ridge, TX) in a 3A Region II District 11 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Leonard will attempt to upgrade on its 16-11 season record.
