Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Rison Wildcats (Rison, AR) and the visiting Gurdon Go-Devils (Gurdon, AR), saw Rison's basketball squad overcome Gurdon by a tally of 52-35.

With the victory, Rison improves its record to 1-16 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Parkers Chapel (El Dorado, AR) to confront the Trojans in a 2A Region 8 challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 5-13. Parkers Chapel lost 66-55 in their recent league challenge against Ouachita (Donaldson, AR)

Next up, the Go-Devils confront the Fordyce Redbugs (Fordyce, AR) in a 2A Region 8 challenge, on Saturday, January 27. Gurdon will attempt to improve on its 2-12 season record. The Redbugs come into the challenge with a 8-9 record after their 65-61 league loss to Woodlawn (Rison, AR).
