Oregon-Davis Bobcats (Hamlet, IN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Hammond Academy of Science & Tech Hawks (Hammond, IN), 54-49 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Oregon-Davis upgrades its record to 4-9 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Elkhart Christian Academy (Elkhart, IN) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 27. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 9-4. Elkhart Christian Academy won 67-58 in their recent non-league bout against Triton (Bourbon, IN)

Next up, the Hawks confront the Tri-Township Tigers (LaCrosse, IN) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, February 1. Hammond Academy of Science & Tech will attempt to improve on its 5-9 season record. The Tigers come into the battle with a 4-10 record after their 42-37 league win over South Central (Union Mills, IN).
