Hickory Hornets (Hermitage, PA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Sharon Tigers (Sharon, PA), 50-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Hickory upgrades its record to 10-4 on the season. The Hornets travel to Wilmington (New Wilmington, PA) to play the Greyhounds in a District 10 Region 4 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Greyhounds go into the bout with a record of 0-14. Wilmington lost 65-22 in their recent league bout against Grove City (Grove City, PA)

Next up, the Tigers play the Slippery Rock Rockets (Slippery Rock, PA) in a District 10 Region 4 bout, on Friday, February 2. Sharon will attempt to upgrade on its 13-2 season record.
