Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Westside Seminoles (Macon, GA) and the host Howard Huskies (Macon, GA), saw Westside's basketball squad knock off Howard by a tally of 63-44.

With the victory, Westside improves its record to 16-7 on the campaign. The Seminoles travel to Baldwin (Milledgeville, GA) to play the Braves in a AAAA Region 2 challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Braves come into the challenge with a record of 19-2. Baldwin won 56-53 in their recent league challenge against Griffin (Griffin, GA)

Next up, the Huskies play the Griffin Bears (Griffin, GA) in a AAAA Region 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Howard will attempt to improve on its 7-14 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 11-10 record after their 48-46 non-league loss to Southwest DeKalb (Decatur, GA).
