The Sabine Cardinals basketball team scored 85 points and restricted the host Hughes Springs Mustangs to 44 in the Cardinals league victory on Friday.

With the victory, Sabine upgrades its record to 17-9 on the campaign. The Cardinals host White Oak (White Oak, TX) to play the Roughnecks in a 3A Region II District 15 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Roughnecks come into the bout with a record of 8-19. White Oak won 62-38 in their recent league bout against Gladewater (Gladewater, TX)

Next up, the Mustangs play the New Diana Eagles (Diana, TX) in a 3A Region II District 15 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Hughes Springs will attempt to upgrade on its 7-19 season record.
