California High School Basketball - Newark Memorial can't hold off Irvington

The Irvington Vikings basketball team scored 66 points and restricted the visiting Newark Memorial Cougars to 60 in the Vikings league victory on Friday.
The Vikings now sport a 6-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to James Logan for a Mission Valley contest on Monday, January 29. Irvington will battle a Colts team coming off a 67-60 league loss to American (Fremont, CA). The Colts record now stands at 5-16.
The Cougars (4-17) will now prepare for their contest against Kennedy (Fremont, CA). The Titans come into the Mission Valley contest with a 11-10 record. In their last contest, Kennedy edged Washington (Fremont, CA), 80-73, in a league contest.
