The Jarrell Cougars (Jarrell, TX) basketball knocked off the visiting Marble Falls Mustangs (Marble Falls, TX), 50-39 in Friday's league test.
The Cougars (14-13) will now prepare for their test against Lago Vista (Lago Vista, TX). The Vikings go into the 4A Region III District 24 test with a 18-10 record. In their last test, Lago Vista went down by Gateway College Preparatory (Georgetown, TX), 71-36, in a league test.
The Mustangs now own a 10-15 record. They play next when they host Lampasas for a 4A Region III District 24 test on Tuesday, January 30. Marble Falls will encounter a Badgers squad coming off a 46-39 league loss to Burnet (Burnet, TX). The Badgers record now stands at 22-6.
