The Jayton Jaybirds (Jayton, TX) basketball crushed the visiting Patton Springs Rangers (Afton, TX), 83-2 in Friday's league test.
The Jaybirds (25-3) will now prepare for their test against Guthrie (Guthrie, TX). The Jaguars go into the 1A Region I District 5 test with a 2-10 record.
The Rangers now own a 7-12 record. They play next when they host Paducah for a 1A Region I District 5 test on Tuesday, January 30. Patton Springs will encounter a Dragons squad coming off a 58-43 league win over Motley County (Matador, TX). The Dragons record now stands at 15-9.
