In Friday's league outing, the Joseph Eagles (Joseph, OR) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Wallowa Cougars (Wallowa, OR), by a margin of 59-32.

The Eagles (6-13) will now prepare for their outing against Pine Eagle (Halfway, OR). The Spartans go into the 1A Old Oregon outing with a 2-18 record. In their last outing, Pine Eagle was trounced by Powder Valley (North Powder, OR), 39-30, in a league outing.

The Cougars now own a 9-13 record. They play next when they travel to Imbler for a 1A Old Oregon outing on Saturday, January 27. Wallowa will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 41-40 league win over Cove (Cove, OR). The Panthers record now stands at 18-2.
