The Kake Thunderbirds basketball team scored 64 points and held the host Thorne Bay Wolverines to 18 in the Thunderbirds league triumph on Friday.
The Thunderbirds now sport a 13-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Craig for a non-league contest on Friday, January 26. Kake will meet a Panthers team coming off a 54-53 league win over Haines (Haines, AK). The Panthers record now stands at 2-5.
The Wolverines (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Kake (Kake, AK). The Thunderbirds enter the 1A Southeast contest with a 13-0 record. In their last contest, Kake triumphed over Craig (Craig, AK), 79-36, in a non-league contest.
