The Lake Braddock Bruins (Burke, VA) basketball nipped the visiting West Springfield Spartans (Springfield, VA), 61-56 in Friday's league test.

The Bruins (3-14) will now prepare for their test against Woodson (Fairfax, VA). The Cavaliers go into the District 4 test with a 12-6 record. In their last test, Woodson was tipped by West Potomac (Alexandria, VA), 45-39, in a league test.

The Spartans now own a 4-11 record. They play next when they travel to Kecoughtan for a non-league test on Saturday, January 27. West Springfield will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 72-62 league win over Menchville (Newport News, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 7-7.
