Lakeville South Cougars (Lakeville, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Shakopee Sabers (Shakopee, MN), 77-76 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lakeville South upgrades its record to 10-6 on the season. The Cougars host Eastview (Apple Valley, MN) to clash with the Lightning in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Lightning go into the bout with a record of 3-11. Eastview won 61-53 in their recent league bout against Rosemount (Rosemount, MN)

Next up, the Sabers clash with the Farmington Tigers (Farmington, MN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Shakopee will attempt to upgrade on its 12-3 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 13-3 record after their 87-74 non-league win over Prior Lake (Prior Lake, MN).
