The Turpin Cardinals basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the visiting Laverne Tigers to 42 in the Cardinals league victory on Friday.

The Cardinals now sport a 12-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Boise City for a non-league contest on Monday, January 29. Turpin will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 72-40 non-league loss to Kremlin-Hillsdale (Kremlin, OK). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-11.

The Tigers (8-7) will now prepare for their contest against Garden City (Garden City, KS). The Buffaloes come into the non-league contest with a 4-8 record. In their last contest, Garden City was defeated by Dodge City (Dodge City, KS), 54-45, in a league contest.
