Sterling Jets (Sterling, NE) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Lewiston Tigers (Lewiston, NE), 57-47 in a league bout.

With the victory, Sterling upgrades its record to 2-13 on the campaign. The Jets host Tri County (DeWitt, NE) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Friday, February 9. The Trojans come into the bout with a record of 13-3.

Next up, the Tigers play the Lourdes Central Catholic Knights (Nebraska City, NE) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 29. Lewiston will attempt to upgrade on its 5-11 season record. The Knights come into the bout with a 5-9 record after their 68-35 non-league loss to Tri County (DeWitt, NE).
