Logan County Cougars (Russellville, KY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Russellville Panthers (Russellville, KY), 58-55 in a league bout.

With the win, Logan County upgrades its record to 10-8 on the season. The Cougars travel to Franklin-Simpson (Franklin, KY) to clash with the Wildcats in a District 13 bout on Monday, January 29. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 10-7. Franklin-Simpson won 66-32 in their recent league bout against Todd County Central (Elkton, KY)

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Metcalfe County Hornets (Edmonton, KY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 27. Russellville will attempt to upgrade on its 3-17 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 6-11 record after their 70-68 league win over Monroe County (Tompkinsville, KY).
