The Lumberton Panthers basketball team (Lumberton, MS), was nudged 52-45 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Resurrection Catholic Eagles (Pascagoula, MS)
The Eagles now possess a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Enterprise for a 1A Region 8 battle on Tuesday, January 30.
The Panthers (5-10) will now prepare for their battle against Sacred Heart (Hattiesburg, MS). The Crusaders come into the 1A Region 8 battle with a 10-11 record. In their last battle, Sacred Heart edged Salem (Tylertown, MS), 55-20, in a league battle.
