Lumberton Raiders (Lumberton, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host West Orange-Stark Mustangs (Orange, TX), 61-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Lumberton upgrades its record to 10-17 on the season. The Raiders host Silsbee (Silsbee, TX) to clash with the Tigers in a 4A Region III District 19 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 19-9. Silsbee won 100-54 in their recent league bout against Vidor (Vidor, TX)

Next up, the Mustangs clash with the Jasper Bulldogs (Jasper, TX) in a 4A Region III District 19 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. West Orange-Stark will attempt to upgrade on its 11-9 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 5-12 record after their 42-32 league loss to Lumberton (Lumberton, TX).
