Montgomery Bears (Montgomery, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Magnolia West Mustangs (Magnolia, TX), 67-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Montgomery upgrades its record to 12-17 on the season. The Bears host Brenham (Brenham, TX) to play the Cubs in a 5A Region III District 21 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Cubs go into the bout with a record of 21-7. Brenham won 87-71 in their recent league bout against Lake Creek (Montgomery, TX)

Next up, the Mustangs play the College Station Cougars (College Station, TX) in a 5A Region III District 21 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Magnolia West will attempt to upgrade on its 3-21 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 17-7 record after their 63-61 league loss to A&M Consolidated (College Station, TX).
