The Mankato West Scarlets basketball team scored 70 points and restricted the visiting Owatonna Huskies to 68 in the Scarlets non-league victory on Friday.

The Scarlets now sport a 11-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Faribault for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 30. Mankato West will battle a Falcons team coming off a 68-64 non-league win over Hill-Murray (Maplewood, MN). The Falcons record now stands at 8-7.

The Huskies (10-6) will now prepare for their contest against Red Wing (Red Wing, MN). The Wingers come into the non-league contest with a 7-10 record. In their last contest, Red Wing edged Albert Lea (Albert Lea, MN), 74-71, in a non-league contest.
