Union Springs Wolves (Union Springs, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Marathon Olympians (Marathon, NY), 54-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Union Springs upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Wolves host Chenango Forks (Binghamton, NY) to clash with the Blue Devils in a non-league bout on Monday, January 29. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 6-8. Chenango Forks lost 70-33 in their recent league bout against Seton Catholic Central (Binghamton, NY)

Next up, the Olympians clash with the Oxford Academy Blackhawks (Oxford, NY) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 29. Marathon will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record.
