The Valley View Blazers basketball team scored 42 points and held the visiting Marion Patriots to 36 in the Blazers league triumph on Friday.
The Blazers now sport a 13-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Marion for a 5A East contest on Friday, January 26. Valley View will meet a Patriots team coming off a 73-30 league win over Paragould (Paragould, AR). The Patriots record now stands at 14-3.
The Patriots (14-4) will now prepare for their contest against Valley View (Jonesboro, AR). The Blazers enter the 5A East contest with a 12-8 record. In their last contest, Valley View was nudged by Nettleton (Jonesboro, AR), 53-44, in a league contest.
