Western Albemarle Warriors (Crozet, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Monticello Mustangs (Charlottesville, VA), 69-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Western Albemarle upgrades its record to 14-4 on the season. The Warriors travel to Orange County (Orange, VA) to clash with the Fighting Hornets in a Jefferson bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Fighting Hornets go into the bout with a record of 10-8. Orange County won 46-41 in their recent league bout against Monticello (Charlottesville, VA)

Next up, the Mustangs clash with the Louisa County Lions (Mineral, VA) in a Jefferson bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Monticello will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record.
