White Plains Tigers (White Plains, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Mount Vernon Knights (Mount Vernon, NY), 80-66 in a non-league bout.

With the win, White Plains upgrades its record to 15-1 on the season. The Tigers travel to Ossining (Ossining, NY) to play the Pride in a Section 1 Conference 1D bout on Wednesday, January 31. The Pride go into the bout with a record of 9-6. Ossining won 54-53 in their recent non-league bout against John Jay (Hopewell Junction, NY)

Next up, the Knights play the Francis Lewis Patriots (Fresh Meadows, NY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 27. Mount Vernon will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 2-12 record after their 61-46 league loss to Queens Teaching (Bellerose, NY).
