Alabama High School Basketball - Pell City knocked off by Mountain Brook

The Mountain Brook Spartans basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting Pell City Panthers to 45 in the Spartans league triumph on Friday.
The Spartans now sport a 20-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Clay-Chalkville for a non-league contest on Monday, January 29. Mountain Brook will battle a Cougars team coming off a 45-44 league win over Mortimer Jordan (Kimberly, AL). The Cougars record now stands at 20-7.
The Panthers (9-12) will now prepare for their contest against Springville (Springville, AL). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 17-9 record.
