Mt. Pleasant Panthers (Mt. Pleasant, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Washington Demons (Washington, IA), 71-54 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mt. Pleasant upgrades its record to 9-4 on the season. The Panthers host Mediapolis (Mediapolis, IA) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 27. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 7-6.

Next up, the Demons play the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks (Wellman, IA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 29. Washington will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Golden Hawks go into the bout with a 7-7 record after their 72-61 league loss to Wilton (Wilton, IA).
