The Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines basketball team scored 75 points and restricted the host New York Mills Eagles to 38 in the Wolverines non-league victory on Friday.
The Wolverines now sport a 11-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Perham for a AA Section 8 contest on Tuesday, January 30. Wadena-Deer Creek will battle a Yellowjackets team coming off a 59-55 league loss to Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton (Glyndon, MN). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 4-11.
The Eagles (0-15) will now prepare for their contest against Frazee (Frazee, MN). The Hornets come into the A Section 6 contest with a 4-11 record. In their last contest, Frazee triumphed over Breckenridge (Breckenridge, MN), 55-38, in a league contest.
