North Carolina High School Basketball - Wilkes Central succumbs to North Surry

January 26, 2024: Mount Airy, NC 27030

The North Surry Greyhounds topped the visiting Wilkes Central Eagles basketball team by a final score of 38-29 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Greyhounds face the East Surry Cardinals (Pilot Mountain, NC) in a 2A Foothills game, on Tuesday, January 30. North Surry will attempt to move on its 13-4 season record. The Cardinals enter the game with a 7-11 record after their 51-38 league win over North Wilkes (Hays, NC).

With the defeat, Wilkes Central moves to 12-7 on the year. The Eagles host Surry Central (Dobson, NC) to face the Golden Eagles in a 2A Foothills game on Tuesday, January 30. The Golden Eagles enter the game with a record of 12-4. Surry Central won 83-50 in their recent league game against West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC)
