Western Panthers (Parma, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Northwest Mounties (Jackson, MI), 47-28 in a league bout.

With the win, Western upgrades its record to 11-4 on the season. The Panthers travel to Pennfield (Battle Creek, MI) to play the Panthers in a Interstate Eight bout on Friday, February 2. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 4-10. Pennfield lost 65-44 in their recent non-league bout against Olivet (Olivet, MI)

Next up, the Mounties play the Harper Creek Beavers (Battle Creek, MI) in a Interstate Eight bout, on Friday, February 2. Northwest will attempt to upgrade on its 6-9 season record. The Beavers go into the bout with a 4-11 record after their 61-36 non-league win over Sturgis (Sturgis, MI).
