Ohio High School Basketball - Springfield ripped by Norton

The Norton Panthers basketball team scored 56 points and held the host Springfield Spartans to 32 in the Panthers league triumph on Friday.

The Panthers now sport a 14-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Orrville for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 30. Norton will meet a Red Riders team coming off a 69-60 league loss to Northwest (Canal Fulton, OH). The Red Riders record now stands at 3-11.

The Spartans (6-9) will now prepare for their contest against Coventry (Akron, OH). The Comets enter the Metro contest with a 10-5 record. In their last contest, Coventry triumphed over Ravenna (Ravenna, OH), 74-54, in a league contest.
