Texas High School Basketball - Odem tops Taft

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Odem Owls (Odem, TX) and the visiting Taft Greyhounds (Taft, TX), saw Odem's basketball squad knock off Taft by a count of 63-55.
With the victory, Odem upgrades its record to 13-15 on the campaign. The Owls travel to Mathis (Mathis, TX) to play the Pirates in a 3A Region IV District 29 challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Pirates come into the challenge with a record of 13-13. Mathis lost 44-39 in their recent league challenge against Goliad (Goliad, TX)
Next up, the Greyhounds play the George West Longhorns (George West, TX) in a 3A Region IV District 29 challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Taft will attempt to upgrade on its 18-12 season record. The Longhorns come into the challenge with a 13-14 record after their 48-45 league loss to Odem (Odem, TX).
