Texas High School Basketball - Panther Creek edges Van Alstyne

The Panther Creek Panthers (Frisco, TX) basketball nipped the host Van Alstyne Panthers (Van Alstyne, TX), 52-50 in Friday's league test.

The Panthers (15-9) will now prepare for their test against Ranchview (Irving, TX). The Wolves go into the 4A Region II District 11 test with a 8-17 record. In their last test, Ranchview was tipped by Celina (Celina, TX), 60-49, in a league test.

The Panthers now own a 14-16 record. They play next when they travel to Aubrey for a 4A Region II District 11 test on Tuesday, January 30. Van Alstyne will encounter a Chaparrals squad coming off a 66-55 league loss to Anna (Anna, TX). The Chaparrals record now stands at 20-9.
