The Port Arthur Memorial Titans basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the visiting Sterling Rangers to 50 in the Titans league victory on Friday.

The Titans now sport a 21-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Port Neches-Groves for a 5A Region III District 17 contest on Tuesday, January 30. Port Arthur Memorial will battle a Indians team coming off a 52-48 league loss to Lee (Baytown, TX). The Indians record now stands at 13-15.

The Rangers (6-21) will now prepare for their contest against Barbers Hill (Mt. Belvieu, TX). The Eagles come into the 5A Region III District 17 contest with a 25-4 record. In their last contest, Barbers Hill edged Goose Creek Memorial (Baytown, TX), 61-54, in a league contest.
