Putnam County Panthers (Granville, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Roanoke-Benson Rockets (Roanoke, IL), 45-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Putnam County upgrades its record to 5-18 on the season. The Panthers travel to Lowpoint-Washburn (Washburn, IL) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 27. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 15-8. Lowpoint-Washburn won 72-55 in their recent non-league bout against St. Bede (Peru, IL)

Next up, the Rockets clash with the St. Bede Bruins (Peru, IL) in a Tri-County bout, on Monday, January 29. Roanoke-Benson will attempt to upgrade on its 5-15 season record. The Bruins go into the bout with a 6-17 record after their 72-55 non-league loss to Lowpoint-Washburn (Washburn, IL).
