Georgia High School Basketball - Westside routs Putnam County

In Friday's league outing, the Westside Patriots (Augusta, GA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Putnam County War Eagles (Eatonton, GA), by a margin of 100-64.

The Patriots (18-3) will now prepare for their outing against Glenn Hills (Augusta, GA). The Spartans go into the AA Region 4 outing with a 0-18 record. In their last outing, Glenn Hills was trounced by Thomson (Thomson, GA), 102-37, in a league outing.

With the defeat, Putnam County moves to 13-8 on the year. The war eagles travel to Washington County (Sandersville, GA) to meet the Golden Hawks in a AA Region 4 match on Tuesday, January 30. The Golden Hawks enter the match with a record of 11-10. Washington County won 61-42 in their recent non-league match against Hancock Central (Sparta, GA)
