Illinois High School Basketball - Sterling holds off Quincy

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Sterling Golden Warriors (Sterling, IL) and the visiting Quincy Blue Devils (Quincy, IL), saw Sterling's basketball squad hold off Quincy by a tally of 65-62.

With the victory, Sterling improves its record to 17-5 on the campaign. The Golden Warriors travel to East Moline United (East Moline, IL) to confront the Panthers in a Western Big 6 challenge on Monday, January 29. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 13-7. East Moline United lost 48-42 in their recent non-league challenge against Pekin (Pekin, IL)

Next up, the Blue Devils confront the Batavia Bulldogs (Batavia, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 27. Quincy will attempt to improve on its 20-2 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 15-6 record after their 69-38 league win over St. Charles North (St. Charles, IL).
