The Salem Wildcats basketball team (Tylertown, MS), was routed 55-20 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Sacred Heart Crusaders (Hattiesburg, MS)

The Crusaders now sport a 10-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lumberton for a 1A Region 8 battle on Tuesday, January 30. Sacred Heart will battle a Panthers team coming off a 52-45 league loss to Resurrection Catholic (Pascagoula, MS). The Panthers record now stands at 5-10.

The Wildcats (0-17) will now prepare for their battle against East Marion (Columbia, MS). The Eagles come into the 1A Region 8 battle with a 11-6 record.
