South Hamilton Hawks (Jewell, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host West Marshall Trojans (State Center, IA), 61-47 in a league bout.

With the win, South Hamilton upgrades its record to 14-1 on the season. The Hawks host Saydel (Des Moines, IA) to play the Eagles in a Heart of Iowa - Large bout on Monday, January 29. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 8-7. Saydel won 59-43 in their recent non-league bout against Woodward Academy (Woodward, IA)

Next up, the Trojans play the Roland-Story Norsemen (Story City, IA) in a Heart of Iowa - Large bout, on Monday, January 29. West Marshall will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Norsemen go into the bout with a 13-2 record after their 67-40 league win over Saydel (Des Moines, IA).
