California High School Basketball - St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy nudges St. Bernard

In Friday's league outing, the St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy Warriors (Downey, CA) basketball squad nipped the host St. Bernard Vikings (Playa del Rey, CA), by a margin of 63-61.

The Warriors (20-5) will now prepare for their outing against Bishop Montgomery (Torrance, CA). The Knights go into the Del Rey outing with a 10-14 record. In their last outing, Bishop Montgomery got by St. Anthony (Long Beach, CA), 58-54, in a league outing.

The Vikings now own a 11-11 record. They play next when they host St. Paul for a Del Rey outing on Monday, January 29. St. Bernard will clash with a Swordsmen squad coming off a 64-50 league loss to Serra (Gardena, CA). The Swordsmen record now stands at 9-17.
