Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Stuttgart Ricebirds (Stuttgart, AR) and the host Star City Bulldogs (Star City, AR), saw Stuttgart's basketball squad knock off Star City by a count of 62-54.

With the victory, Stuttgart upgrades its record to 8-13 on the campaign. The Ricebirds host Warren (Warren, AR) to play the Lumberjacks in a 4A Region 8 challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Lumberjacks come into the challenge with a record of 5-3. Warren won 63-57 in their recent league challenge against Monticello (Monticello, AR)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Watson Chapel Wildcats (Pine Bluff, AR) in a 4A Region 8 challenge, on Saturday, January 27. Star City will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 7-11 record after their 62-51 league loss to Mills University Studies (Little Rock, AR).
