The Virginia High Bearcats basketball team scored 64 points and held the host Tazewell Bulldogs to 60 in the Bearcats league triumph on Friday.

The Bearcats now sport a 13-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host John Battle for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 27. Virginia High will face a Trojans team coming off a 52-40 league loss to Gate City (Gate City, VA). The Trojans record now stands at 4-11.

With the defeat, Tazewell moves to 2-13 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Marion (Marion, VA) to face the Scarlet Hurricanes in a Southwest game on Tuesday, January 30. The Scarlet Hurricanes enter the game with a record of 11-7. Marion lost 82-42 in their recent league game against Graham (Bluefield, VA)
