In Friday's league outing, the Walled Lake Central Vikings (Walled Lake, MI) basketball squad beat the host Walled Lake Northern Knights (Commerce, MI), by a count of 50-35.

The Vikings (14-1) will now prepare for their outing against Kettering (Waterford, MI). The Captains come into the Lakes Valley bout with a 4-10 record. In their last bout, Kettering toppled Bishop Foley (Madison Heights, MI), 41-36, in a non-league bout.

Next up, the Knights play the Milford Mavericks (Highland, MI) in a Lakes Valley bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Walled Lake Northern will attempt to upgrade on its 5-10 season record. The Mavericks come into the bout with a 9-6 record after their 57-51 league loss to South Lyon (South Lyon, MI).
